The Garden is open from November to May, depending on weather conditions. Butterflies are released into the garden on a daily basis, in season, as part of the Bible Museum's 'spiritual message' of metamorphosis. Read More
The Bible Collection
The collection at the Bible Museum has been collated over 30 years by Ellen Reid and her daughter, Jean. The collection ranges from tiny miniatures, huge Family Bibles, Jewish scrolls, papyrus codex, 400+ year old Bibles, and many different foreign languages.
Permanent exhibits include the 'History of the Bible in English' and 'the Bible in Archaeology. A favourite workshop with groups is 'the History of Writing and Printing'. Read More
The museum collection includes several musical instruments, which can be played (with care). Trumpets, a variety of shofars, harps and a psaltery are part of the 'Musical Instruments of the Bible' display.
